1.5 oz dark rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz passion fruit syrup

Background & History

Created at Pat O'Brien's bar in New Orleans in the 1940s, reportedly to help move surplus rum during a liquor shortage; became a signature drink of the city's Bourbon Street.
